Hello all!
This is a new site, built around the prophecies of Ronald Weinland. As the days, weeks, and months go by, we will test his prophecies and see whether or not they were accurate. At a time that I deem appropriate, I will declare him either a true prophet or a false one.
First, a little more about me. I started this blog to counter some of the rabidly anti-Weinland sites out there. There are many people who are extremely disgruntled with R.W. and his church, and possess an almost bizarre hatred for him. These people view R.W. through the prism of their small-minded venom and as such, it is hard to get an objective, unbiased opinion from them.
Like many others, I was intrigued by Weinland’s words and was looking for opinions from other likeminded people. Needless to say, there was a scarcity of either pro-Weinland people or neutral observers. This blog is for them. I aim to look at Ron Weinland with a critical, fair, balanced view that takes his words seriously and weighs them against current events.
Hope you enjoy.
-Citizen X
Thank you for your blog, I too was looking for such a web-site with no avail. It is nice to see someone who will promote people to have a discussion that is not just people writing their stupid opinion as fact. Sorry, for such strong words but come on people, God gave us a mind for a reason lets use it here. If God is real and he/it is One, than that would mean that there is only one or no groups out there who have the truth. There can’t be two, only one or none. Every church/religion is different and the God that they represent is different, and they all or even two can not be right. There is only one truth. And to think that you have it without seeking it or divine revelation might be faulty thinking. So you might want to keep an open mind and pray to God for some truth, wisdom and humility to be able to discern who his true prophet is or is not, since the scriptures say the whole world is deceived.
Thanks for letting me vent.
Hey thanks for opening this blog. I’ve been observing these websites out here concerning this for quite a while. You’re totally right, there is rampant “anti-Weinlandism” out there and almost none of these self-proclaimed experts when they quote him even honestly state the coherency of his predictions or statements but instead omit or take ouf context. A forum for fair & balanced discussion would indeed provide for a healthy contrast. I’d just hope the embittered know-it-alls out there wont come in and hijack this blog lol. after all, there aint that many pro-Weinland ppl out here. well, i guess the next 2 months will pretty much tell who’s right and who’s wrong wont they…
greetings from michigan; yes, let us reason together. what a breath of aire fresh an internet forum with decorum and order it would seem for now may it continue. we live in aworld which hates truth hates God, Gods’ law, the sabbath, the holy days of God they know not nor can they yet. What ordained of God minister speaks this message? Who would publish this book to the entire world and bear witness as fact Gods’ true church, true apostle Herbert Armstrong and our own churchs’ falling away simultaneously identifying the worlds’ religions for what they are not; your ways are not MY WAYS sayeth th ETERNAL. Have we not over the course of six thousand years endured the wisdom of this age illuminated by their god satan who decieveth the whole earth. Wouldn’t this witness be expected to keep the commandments of God ie sabbath, passover, unleavened bread, pentecost, trumpets, atonement day of the feast of booths and on the last great day did not our Lord remeber these same appointed annual sabbaths of the ETERNAL. I come not to destroy the law but to fulfill it. Would he not clearly identify BABYLON THE GREAT THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH ? Our loving Creator says; come out of her. Our Saviour reminding us we killed HIS prophets. Are we not living witnesses to the onslaught of the new old world order of cain, nimrod, pharaoh.nebuchadnezzar, herrud, rome, and papal bull. We are in the year 2008 AD, the real Israel is US, Assyria is at the seat of power in our midst,we are slaves to the money changers Christ kicked out of the temple on sight,no one truly seeks for the knowlegde of Gods’ will therefore we are cut off from His Power,His Holy spirit the power of God. Our prayer is May the ETERNAL our Father in heaven grant us the gift of repentance a contrite heart and His will be done through us in Jesus name. These things must come to pass;be not troubled but rejoice for the Day of the LORD is at hand. God with us walked the earth 2000 years ago and they knew him not, there were only about 120 souls in that room. Jesus ressurection was witnessed by thousands personnally; wake up! Ron Weinland one of the two witnesses is still just a man a just man i hope for surely the Father is able to grant him the power which falls under His authority. His,being the ETERNAL to Him be praise and honor and glory for ever and ever.
“I’d just hope the embittered know-it-alls out there wont come in and hijack this blog lol..”
I wouldn’t worry about that, Franconian. That won’t be happening on my watch. Like I said, you can only comment here if you’re openminded. This is not a democracy, because uncivilized people like the Weinland-haters abuse a democratic system to spew their hate. I’ll be watching the comments like a hawk and deleting any that are inappropriate.
Hi, I’ve just discovered this blog and think it great that you wish it to be a place of fair, polite and reasonable discussion rather than (as is too often the case) a place where people just rant hatefully and unthinkingly against those they disagree with. I have as yet no strong opinions on Ron Weinland either way – indeed, why should I as it is only fair to him to wait and see.
In the meantime, his website states the following: “Ronald Weinland says that 2008 will mark the beginning of the final events that will thrust the world into the great tribulation (last three and one-half years of the end-time), which will usher in World War III, the death of billions, and on the last day of this great tribulation, the return of Jesus Christ”. Assuming this is true, can anyone help me understand why a loving and compassionate Jesus (as I was always brought up to believe him) should wait until AFTER WW3 and “the death of billions” to return? Jesus knows mankind’s future, and His return will surely be undeniable for all whenever it happens – so why not return BEFORE the “death of billions” and save so much terrible suffering? By any measure that would be the compassionate thing to do.
Allowing WW3 and the death of billions seems so needless and I just can’t reconcile this with the Jesus I was taught of in childhood. I realise this is a slightly different issue to the question of whether or not RW is a true or false prophet (so, sorry if it’s inappropriate)…but this prediction troubles me on several levels and I felt this might be a place where I could get a sensible response.
“can anyone help me understand why a loving and compassionate Jesus should wait until AFTER WW3 and “the death of billions” to return?”
Hello, Emseekay and welcome.
According to Ron Weinland, mankind has become so prideful that nothing short of near-annihilation will illustrate the point that man is simply not capable of governing himself. I understand what you’re saying, it would appear to be a lot of bloodshed.
But it is man doing it to himself. God is simply allowing it to happen. As far as I understand it, Weinland is saying God is trying to teach us a lesson – that there is man’s way and there is God’s way. And this is the only way to learn that lesson.
Now, if Weinland is right about all this, and God has truly been planning this for thousands of years, I am not about to quibble with his methods, however bloody they might appear. After all, who am I to argue with God?
But I do understand the perspective that man can be quite prideful and full of himself, and sometimes it really takes a shocking blow to get a point across.
According to my Bible, God is a loving God. So I do not think he would go through with this scenario unless it was absolutely necessary.
Thanks for commenting.
Citizen X,
Kudos on the website. It is a breath of fresh air.
Concerning your last remark, to Emseekay, it is pivotal to add that even though billions will die in the coming few years, this is not ‘the end’ for them. Ronald Weinland preaches about the resurrections clearly mentioned in Revelation. The first resurrection will be of those that God has worked with over the past 6000 years, however the second resurrection (which will be in 1000 years) all who have ever lived, even those who die in the tribulation we’re about to endure, will have a second chance at life. Although their lives may end abruptly soon, it is an intermission and they will live again in a better world that is already governed by God and his people. Without such horrible experiences, man would be too proud to accept God’s way of life and listen to his words.
“mankind has become so prideful that nothing short of near-annihilation will illustrate the point that man is simply not capable of governing himself. [...] According to my Bible, God is a loving God. So I do not think he would go through with this scenario unless it was absolutely necessary”.
Thanks Citizen X, and Tony, but this is precisely what troubles me: God can do absolutely ANYTHING, which includes being able to illustrate unequivocally man’s pridefulness (amongst other sins) without resorting to the near-annihilation of all mankind. God can do precisely as He wishes – including sparing the innocent from the “horrible experiences” deserved by the guilty. God CAN do this, so to punish almost ALL mankind equally, regardless of blame, clearly ISN’T “absolutely necessary”. Quite the contrary, in fact – God could easily choose another way.
Part of the reason this troubles me so VERY much is that I have a daughter born just this year: far too young to know anything of pride or vice or malice, she remains innocent and I can’t accept that she should pay so horribly for the sins of the guilty. Even in the truth of the resurrection, she doesn’t deserve that.
But it’s also because, as Truthseaker says (May 14th), “God gave us a mind for a reason”. Why then does He decide to unfurl a future which I, based on the very ability to think (and, indeed, love) that God gave me, find so unacceptable? It makes me uncomfortable saying this, but why has God given me the ability to find His plans cruel and unecessary? Yes, teach the sinful and wicked the error of their ways,…but the innocent and good are already on God’s side. What does it serve to punish them also? I don’t get it.
Emseekay:
“I can’t accept that she should pay so horribly for the sins of the guilty..”
..the innocent and good are already on God’s side. What does it serve to punish them also?…
I believe the point Ronald Weinland is making is that it’s not God doing the punishing. Man is doing it. Innocents have been killed for years. Is that God’s fault? No, it’s man’s. God has simply allowed it to happen.
But according to Weinland, there comes a point where God says, “Enough is enough!” and comes in and takes it all over. I find this quote rather audacious of you to say:
“to punish almost ALL mankind equally, regardless of blame, clearly ISN’T “absolutely necessary”. Quite the contrary, in fact – God could easily choose another way..”
It’s “not necessary” to punish mankind? It’s pretty odd of you to say what God can and can’t do. He could easily choose another way? So he just wants to see innocent people killed for no reason? I’ve seen you say the same thing in two posts in succession, and to be quite honest I think you’re a troll.
Unless you are here with a truly open mind, yearning to discover the truth, you will find yourself quickly banned. Notice served.
Emseekay, the problem is that you’re only looking at a small portion of the bigger picture. Like Herbert W. Armstrong has said, its like all of us are coming into a movie theater during its final climactic moment, without knowing what has happened before and why its happening. This is only a small window of time, 3 and a half years of suffering. What comes after that is far greater.
To make mention of your point about God being able to do anything – yes, you’re right, God can do it. But that’s not what God wants. God wants US to make the choice of his way versus our way of selfishness. The best way to learn this lesson, like all lessons, is experience. By living the wrong way, we become convicted of the right way we have to fight for. If God did it, he would be making up our minds for us.
After the tribulation there will be 1000 years of Christ’s rule with the saints. Mankind goes on, lives and dies, but now living the right way. We as a civilization will progress under God’s guidance. After that, all of mankind, all that die in the tribulation, will be resurrected and be able to see the difference. 6000 years of man’s way produced what? 3 and a half years of horrific misery. 1000 years of God’s way has produced what? A far far far better world. Then they choose what way they want – Man’s way or God’s. They’ll have 100 years to make that decision.
Emseekay, read the books written by Ronald Weinland. Its all in there and more.
OK, this is unfortunate. With respect, Citizen X, your (very public) suspicion makes me uncomfortable and probably damages any credibility or trust I might have achieved on this list – it might have been better to have e-mailed me privately about this because even though I am here legitimately, some suspicion of trolling will now likely always attach to my postings. Not really the start I was hoping for. I am here with an open mind. I am not a ‘troll’ and I don’t see why developing the same topic over two posts in succession should make me so.
Also, again with respect, you are misinterpreting what I said. I didn’t say that it is ‘not necessary to punish mankind’, I only suggested that it’s not necessary to punish the innocent (only the guilty). Likewise, I didn’t say that God WANTS to see innocents killed for no reason: I only asked why he should choose to make no distinction when the annihilation happens.
Tony, I understand what you say about my only looking at a small portion of the bigger picture – but that portion is imminent.
Also, again with respect, you are misinterpreting what I said. I didn’t say that it is ‘not necessary to punish mankind’, I only suggested that it’s not necessary to punish the innocent (only the guilty).
Emseekay,
According to Ron Weinland, God isn’t punishing anyone.
Man is doing it to himself. God has let man live his own way for thousands of years. Your objection basically amounts to, “If God exists, why does he let bad things happen to good people?”
And the same answer I keep on giving is, because otherwise it wouldn’t be free will. It would be a world with God monitoring everything, and stepping in if “innocents” were about to get “punished”.
The world you’re witnessing, and are about to witness, is all man’s doing. God has barely meddled at all. That is why we see bad things happen to good people. We see it all the time. Young, “innocent” kids starving in Africa. Children abused by their parents. Children working in sweatshops in China. Good people killed by drunk drivers. What Ronald Weinland says is coming is basically that times a thousand. And according to him, God feels that’s necessary to teach the lesson.
Now you can believe him if you want. Or you cannot. But it’s utterly pointless to ask, “Well, why does God feel it’s necessary?” Again, I’m not really sure what point you’re trying to make, or if you’re simply perplexed.
But you seem to be hung up on the fact that God feels destruction of this magnitude is necessary to teach the lesson that man’s way always fails. If you don’t believe that’s the case, then don’t believe Ron Weinland. If the God you imagine in your head wouldn’t do that, then don’t believe Ron Weinland. But out of everything Weinland has said, it seems like an odd point to get stuck on.
It’s a common point: a lot of people feel God is horrible to mankind, but maybe, eventually, he’s gonna be nice. The problem is that they don’t know the Eternal. He is just, as He is loving. He has more patience than anyone can imagine.
He will make everyone, who is not saved after 1100 years, pay dearly for all they have done in the lake of fire & brimstone. Ultimately, anyone who does not choose to live with God, in His family – Elohim, will die, never to live again.
Everyone who truly wishes to live with our Heavenly Father -and- His firstborn son will live eternally, forever and ever!
