I’ve already talked a bit about the First Trumpet, but I want to explore it further. I feel that this is the first prophecy Ronald Weinland makes that can actually be verified as he makes it explicitly clear that this is a physical event, and a hard one to miss at that.
Let’s go back to his book and revisit what we should look for. From 2008 – Gods Final Witness, page 118:
The First powerful event of the Seventh Seal(First Trumpet) will result in wide-spread destruction over the United States and beyond her border into Canada.
…a third of all plant life will be destroyed…
…the actual event will not be disclosed until it is time for it to happen..
..there will be much death when this event occurs..
Most of it will be the death of animals and birds, but also a large number of people will die – into the tens of thousands.
Let’s review. Ronald Weinland prophesies that we will have an event with widespread destruction – and one in which a third of all plant life will die. This event will occur primarily in the United States and to a lesser degree in Canada. According to Ronald Weinland, tens of thousands of people will die, as well as animals and birds.
Ok. So this one is rather specific. We know what to look for. Now all we need to know is when to look for it. According to Weinland, the First Trumpet sounded on April 17th. However, on April 10th Ronald Weinland went on the James Whale show and elaborated more on the specific timing.
He specified that the First Trumpet would be a process that would take 45-90 days to unfold. 90 days from the sounding of the First Trumpet is July 17th. So to summarize, we have our first major verifiable prophecy.
This prophecy states that a destructive event will occur in the United States that will kill tens of thousands and that this event will happen between April 17th and July 17th.
Well, actually, not counting most catholics and most protestants and most atheists, who will probably be among the first dead of the Israelites, the rest of the world will still not accept the truth. Especially as it comes from Ron.
Truth is truth, whether accepted or not. Part of me looks forward to the incredible destruction which is going to happen, but most of me looks forward to Messiah’s return!
I hate to think of people dying, but I hate even more the thought of the world continuing in the direction it’s headed – evil.
Come on October 2011!!
I agree, Sister Ri. I do not wish death or pain on anyone, but I eagerly look forward to Jesus’ return. And I know that much destruction will be needed to break the pride of many.
However, once it is all said and done, it will be heaven on Earth. What a beautiful place to imagine!
Most people don’t understand when I share the same sediments with. They think I am sick or demented just as they think only a evil or cruel “god” would do such a thing to the world.
They don’t realize that it is a process of morning that all of has gone through. Knowing that we will loose respect, jobs, friends and even family to live this life style. Then to realize that the end is coming and if God allows us to make it through and even our husband or wifes and children then still we will witness just about every one else that we know die. Death all around us, starvation, pain, suffering we will all experience. When I feel sad or scared I think about all the people (and children) that are starving, being raped, tortured, blown up, etc. right now. I think of the million of people that was hacked to death with machetes in my husbands country only 14 years ago and the fear that many still live in. I think of all the suffering that has happened since we were created and will happen in till we would destroy ourself if God didn’t stop us. Then I start feeling guilty that I “crying” over the fact that we just bought a new home, that I love right before “the end of the world”, or that I just not ready for the end of my world. I realize how selfish that sounds to myself. Then I remember how many times I have prayed for peace for the world. How many times I have cried to God to end this suffering, mine, others, the worlds’.
Sorry All, somehow I accidentally sent my message before I edited it, but I hope you might understand it.
It will be hard even for the ones who follow God’s commandments and have faith in Jesus Christ. But what is comming after, will be so great that we will not even think about this age.
And even I can’t wait in till all are humbled and have to come to face and admit the Truth. I can’t wait to see every knee bow. I can’t wait to see people wonder in how wonderful the Eternal and his plan is. I can’t wait in till the enemy and his deception is taken away from mankind. I can’t wait until we can see the Son God come back in all his glory. I can’t even wait in till it’s not business as usual in this blind world. I can’t wait in till people get the fear of God. I can’t wait in till people start asking me about the Truth because they really desire to have it and I will be able to share all God has given me.
Thank you guys, I love reading your comments!!!
ditto, Truthseaker, ditto.
“But what is comming after, will be so great that we will not even think about this age.”
It will be great. A government of God, with no more war, no more suffering, no more injustice. Imagine going to sleep at night knowing nothing bad at all can happen, knowing you’re perfectly safe.
Knowing that absolute justice will be done; life would be so joyful, so happy. I think God let mankind continue on the way we do so we can see the two stark contrasts – a world of man and a world of God.
When God reigns on Earth, it will be perfect. No more disease, no more sickness, no more sinfulness pervading the world everywhere you look. It’s really gonna be awesome.
You sound sincere. But you don’t say anything about the time lag that will carry problems between man’s rule and God’s rule into the future for up to 4 generations.
For instance, say I’m tattooed and live into the millennium. How shall I convince offspring that to mark the body is pagan, and mars the body? Do you see my point? I don’t personally have tattoos, but I have made many other mistakes in my life, and will continue making them until I am translated, after Jesus’ return, perhaps not until the end of the millennium…
But … I really, really, really look forward to it!!
I wasn’t aware of a time lag. As far as I understood it, Jesus returns and begins to set up his government at the beginning of the millenium. So that’s when God’s rule begins. Satan is bound for a thousand years.
Then, at the end of the millenium, Satan is loosed for a little while to deceive the nations. There is a final battle, and extermination of Satan, and the Great White Throne Judgment. But I’m not aware of a time lag. Isn’t it pretty much all God’s rule from the minute the Millenium begins?
X, the Church of God believes it is God’s rule from the minute the Millennium begins – however just because God’s government is here, that doesn’t mean all who are alive will become perfect overnight.
All of us have accumulated a lot of baggage over our lives: sinful habits, various wrong stereotypes, and all kinds of little things that we just can’t see. Those won’t go away just because we’ve seen a long period of destruction, or because God’s government is on the earth. We still have to overcome and change. That takes a lifetime. Over that lifetime we’re still going to get into squabbles, hurt others’ feelings, and other things. Life won’t be perfect, but it will be better.
That baggage we have will carry on down to the next generation. It makes itself manifest in our parenting style, and some of it will trickle down, sadly enough. Its the side effect of us not living right for years and years. Hopefully the impact will be minor, but it may take a few generations to flush it all out. God isn’t going to just make life peachy keen all of a sudden. Man still has to learn from his own mistakes and, potentially, clean up his own mess after the tribulation. But we will start to live God’s way and learn the benefits of doing so. That’s the big picture.
Thank you, Tony. Well said!
Life will be so much better, though, without the pornography and the drugs and the politicians, without murder and theft and adultery, …
I agree with what Tony said, this is how I understand what is taught. In addition I personally think, Jesus will be ruling over with and iron rod, which means quick judgment. many things the world don’t give a second thought of today will simply not be tolerated (i.e. adultery. lying, etc) But keep in mind, every one who has made it to the new age, at least adult wise will have made a conscious decision to do their best to follow God’s commandments as we are now (we as in the church, not the world), in addition we will have the spirit of God dwelling inside of us or guiding us in till Baptism and we will not be tempted by Satan and His angels(demons).
So, it really hard to imagine but I think it would be about a million times better than the world we live in now. Plus, all will have the truth.
Pride is our greatest enemy. Since Satan is busy with the pope now, pride is almost the only problem. Pride stands between a person and God. Be concerned with how each of us have allowed it to stand most between ourselves and Him, more than between us.
When we humble ourselves, and I don’t mean literal crawling on the floor, God shows us more and more. When we sincerely forget everything we thought we knew … to be able to accept whatever God gives us.
Pride will continue to be our enemy until we are each translated to Elohim. But anything can be overcome with God’s help, through Jesus.
I was reading “The Wonderful World Tomorrow”, by Herbert W. Armstrong today and it discusses a lot of answers to what we have been talking about here.
I enjoyed reading “The Wonderful World Tomorrow”, by Herbert W. Armstrong, too. The one thing to know, however, about Mr. Armstrong is that he was not aware of the separateness of God and his Christ.
I agree with the message that the reason for this was to differentiate between COG-PKG and the hundreds of other churches that owe their existence to HWA. There’s a good site for HWA’s stuff, too, it’s:

The clock is running down to July 16th (May has 31 days). We won’t have to wait that long. Listen to people. How many stories of sadness and repentance have been heard? Any? Doesn’t anyone regret the breaking of God’s commandments?
thanks sister, I do always keep that in mind when reading Armstrong.
Setting aside scepticism, religious and personal prejudice and other understandable attempts to discredit Weinland’s momentous predictions, there can be no denying the pinpoint accuracy of his warning of the onset of the current world-wide economic implosion.
As recently as January 23 this year (2009) British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, a former Chancellor of the Exchequer, admitted recession had caught him unawares (Daily Mail Jan 24). But in “2008-God’s Final Witness”. published two and a half years earlier, Weinland had set out in unequivocal detail what has now come to pass.
Most of Nostradamus’s predictions were open to interpretation, but Weinland leaves no room for doubt.
If the rest of his forecasts are as accurate, only those with vision far beyond the predicted apocalypse can hope to preserve any degree of optimism.
